REPORT on  THE  ITIS A. EINSTEIN  ACTIVITIES

for A.S. 2002-2003 

  The report on the ITIS"A.Einstein"  activities   for the A.S. 2002-2003  deals them referring  all the particulars

2. EUROPEAN ACTIVITIES  : PARTECIPATION to the  PROJECTS  and TEACHERS  and   CLASSES EXCHANGES

1. ACTIVITY of DIDACTIC with the NEW TECHNOLOGIES 

  The institute for years is  oriented to the experimentation of the new technologies in the curricular and extra-curricular didactic., and numerous activities in this sense, also for the A.S. 2002-2003, are been put in our POF: 

 

“Multimediality  in class“ Project -  anticipates the use of the TIC for all the curricular disciplines and to the discretion of the teachers it  is possible the use of two special classrooms  

(306-307 created in 2000 for the project Microsoft - Einstein).

It is possible to book these classes for modules , for group-hours or single hour or for the whole yearly  curricular time. A lot of the teachers  of all the subjects use them both for the fruition of didactical cdrom and  for the activity of multimedial research and production with the students. ADP Project Areas: (all approved from the Teachers Class-Council and from the Teachers School-Council) cover a variable  percentage of curricular hours according to the subjects that participate in the interdisciplinary-module. They often continue in extra-curricular   activities. 

 Tics are used for the layout of the presentations of the modules  or for the same programming . They are often used for the student reports for the State examination.

Institute Intranet Project- 

It Is to overcome the simple technical management of the Institute- lan, entrusted already to the technical group Lan / Intranet, and to operate so that it be the heart of the information center inside the institute. 

To manage and to up-date an intranet on which are available the inside communications, the different classes products, the teachers lessons and  the training-teachers materials. 

 “Image and Sound” Project

To promote in the students the “pre-destinated victim” passage of the process of the  communication- video   to " active subject " through the realization of multi-medial  products.

” In  Form “institute- Newspaper : it is a project that involves few classes of the diurnal course but mainly the students of the evening course and it has a layout to multi-medial character with interactive space for  forum.

ECDL Project : the institute is  Center Test, from the 2000, of the courses and examinations for the European Licence of the Computer and is attended by the students and by their parents, the school - personnel and opened to the territory.

Dida-Net Project : For a long time our institute has planned to spread to other schools the results of the activities of didactic and experimental research and, treating of an institute for the tele-communications it has enriched the didactic objectives of this initiative with the technical and direct experience of the telemathical tools  and the programming of didactic hyper-medial packages.

In fact it is ,from 1993, that our school  is the  leader of a school- net  for didactic innovation. This net includes 14 schools of every order and degree in the province of Rome and this year it is enriched of the collaboration of the Italian Lyceum in Istanbul for the planning and construction of  hyper-medial products to different levels of navigation, working  on the didactic continuity and on the comparison and integration.

2. EUROPEAN  ACTIVITIES: PARTECIPATION TO PROJECTS  AND TEACHERS' AND CLASSES EXCHANGES

Our school has collaborated in European field since 1995 and has participated to numerous European Socrates - Leonardo projects etc. both as promoter that as partner and from the 2000 is' entered to belong to the Enis Net .

The core-idea  of the Scout project is to develop the infrastructure, both mental and physical with which K-12 students will scout for knowledge collaboratively and actively using effectively the cyberspace.  

In the field of the collaboration with the ENIS schools the ITIS A. Einstein has stuck to three projects:  

 

§ the Project Pytagoras with the ENEA 

§ the Project EDU -Robot with the Consortium Verona Robotica   

§ the Project of Education of training" Lab of tomorrow" on the wearable computers

The first project  has been done with the schools of the Dida Net on the topics of the feedings and has given life to quite a lot of multi-medial products. In particular way the ITIS A.Einstein has conducted with the Lyceum IMI in Istanbul a experience at distance in a virtual class. 

At the end of the first phase of the project (foreseen  Pyt@goras II)  has been organized to the ITIS a Seminar of Dissemination at 10-05-03 that it has seen the partecipation  of the Enis  schools of the Lazio and the Didanet schools  that have shown their products.

The others two projects will begin  in September. 

A fourth project  E-sciences Club to which the institute has stuck.

has not  financed instead. 

It has been  studing a Project school- Linux  on the open source with the IBM that anticipates September realization 2003 and a project Comenius with Norway and Slovacchia. 

In the month of May the ITIS has entertained besides a Belgian delegation of teachers and students for an exchange on the applied plots of the program Cabrì for the geometry, for which it is  also foreseen a very active group of teachers of mathematics on the didactic applications of this simulation program,  that is also  in contact with the Institute Vivante in Bari - school of the Enis Net. 

Project "Our School  Adopts a foreign school" with the consortium “Digital  Youth " our institute is  twinned with the school" Nepal Yubak Secondary School" of Katmandu and in November has entertained for 6 days pupils and teachers.

Crocus  Project

The institute, has among its pupils quite a lot of students of other nationalities and to facilitate their integration, has stuck to this project that  takes care of  the linguistic needs also for their families:

 The Dida net has been a  partner of the CEIS for a project on the school dispersion that foresaw to his inside a forum of which has been chair-woman  prof. Brunella Pellegrini.

3. NET -ACTIVITY  WITH “THE TERRITORY” 

From the analysis of the territorial context and from the survey of the needs it emerges for the institute to take a proposal role that is expounded with the expansion of the effectiveness of the formative paths in the curricular didactic, and  with the employment  of the service done  to offer different opportunities of cultural and socializing value and turned to all the interested users. 

Also this year  three privileged areas of intervention are been individualized: 

1. social- environmental area

2. area of the communication and the languages 

3. area of the technological  innovation 

In the institute, besides, a teacher (off-service) has always worked, as an psycho-pedagogical operator for particular pupils. 

The institute wishes to offer a school service that operates for: 

· To increase the well-feeling in school 

· To Improve the knowledge of the itself and the auto-evaluation 

· To enlarge  the cultural horizons and to favour the exchanges of experiences 

· To help the integration among intellectual job and  manual work 

· To aid the young people insertion in the world of the job 

· To develop the conscience of a cultural identity of the territory 

· To value the human and cultural resources of the students 

· To offer some  occasions of formative re-setting  for the adults.

To favour the relationship with the families of the students and to experiment remedial forms, didactic at distance and the electronic register 

Our school is :

- a member  of the School - Job Consortium of the technical institutes in Rome 

 

- of the ELIS Consortium for post graduate courses, IFTS and FSE. 

 

- of the Digital Youth Consortium of the Commune in Rome. 

 

- of the LaziOrienta-net for the formative compulsory education. 

As it regards the Training of the teachers,  two courses Á and a course B for "The National Plan of the teachers-training on the Computer skills"  have been activated
